Saddle Mountain Alder Planked Burgers
Suggested Plank: 7" Alder planks, 4 each, soaked minimum 2-3 hours
Serving: Four of the most juicy and delicious burgers you will have ever eaten.
1lb of your favorite ground beef
1/2 Teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
2 Tablespoons Dried Bread Crumbs
1/2 Teaspoon Course Sea Salt
1/4 Teaspoon Cracked Pepper
Mix all ingredients together in bowl. Once mixed form four hamburger patties to prepare for BBQ.
Preheat BBQ for cooking on direct high heat 450° to 550°. Place soaked plank on BBQ grate for two minutes and close lid. Turn plank over with BBQ tongs and coat top surface with Olive Oil. Generously coat hamburger patties with Olive and place one on each plank. Close lid and BBQ for approximately 20 minutes. Try to keep lid closed entire time. Flare-ups may occur on gas grills so keep squirt bottle handy. Do not flip burgers. Check for done of 165° internal temp after 15 minutes. Remove burgers, planks and all and place on a large tray to rest for a gorgeous presentation. Enjoy!
